The company began its activity in 1942, with the manufacture of small mechanical devices and parts, which quickly led to the production of mechanical counters.
The initials E.M.I.T. are the initials of the first name of the Company (Mechanical Specialties of the Textile Industry) becoming Talleres Emit, S.A. in the year 1960.
In 1979, the Company’s Management changed and a period of diversification and expansion of its activity began, both in manufacturing (Electromechanical Meters) and commercialization (Electronic Meters).
The specialization in meters (Mechanical, Electromechanical and Electronic), makes Talleres Emit, S.A. in the only company in the Spain, dedicated exclusively to this activity, mainly as a manufacturer.
